Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month

A National Holiday

Latino Hispanic Heritage Month Graphic.pngLatino/Hispanic Heritage Month is a National Holiday that celebrates and honors the histories, influences, cultures, and contributions of U.S. Latino and Hispanic communities.

The month, which runs from September 15 to October 15, also highlights the independence days of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua on September 15, Mexico on September 16, and Chile on September 18.

San Diego County, the home of many diverse Latino/Hispanic communities, celebrates this month through festivals, art shows, conferences, community gatherings, and more.
