Pam Toomes, Certified Fitness Instructor

I’ve been teaching group exercise & yoga classes for 30 years, from Hi-Lo aerobics, step aerobics, toning and weights, as well as taught special populations like arthritis, Parkinson’s, and cancer survivors. I have been leading Zumba & Zumba Gold since 2010. I am a certified Group Exercise instructor and Personal Trainer, both through ACE- American Council on Exercise. Of all the various types of classes that I have taught, Zumba is my favorite. It is so much more than just a physical workout. Combining movement, music, and fitness moves exercise your body, mind, and spirit. It’s very satisfying to see a participant finally get a step they struggled with, or just smiling and having fun. It’s important to challenge our minds along with our bodies, as we age, and Zumba is the perfect way to achieve that. Outside of teaching my classes, I love traveling, camping, and hiking, gardening, and spending time with my family and dogs.
