Dora Bonaventura

Originally from Rome, Italy, Dora Bonaventura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education along with multiple Dance Instructor certifications. She has extensive teaching experience in Jazz Dance, Group Exercise, and Aerobics, with a professional background that spans Italy, New York, and Florida.
For 12 years, she led Eurdanza Dance Studio in Rome as the Artistic Director while also working as a choreographer. After moving to the US she taught Dance and Aerobics classes at the college level.
Additionally, Dora teaches all levels of Italian in a Community College and private tutoring sessions for teens and adults..  She holds  a Masters in Italian from the Università per Stranieri di Siena.
Having spent most of her life in Italy she presents the Italian language of real life as she naturally integrates current Italian lifestyle and culture into language instruction.
After teaching Italian in classroom for eight years at Eastern Florida State College, she taught Italian Online at UCLA Extension for 6 years and she currently teaches Italian online at UCSD Extension. Additionally, she continues to teach her groups of adults, from beginners to advanced, throughout the US.
Dora is enthusiastic about sharing her native language and culture with her students and she makes each class effective and enjoyable.
