Cathlyn Choi is a renowned culinary artist and television personality passionate about promoting healthy Korean cuisine and cultural heritage. As the host of the popular PBS cooking show Cathlyn’s Korean Kitchen, she has introduced audiences to authentic Korean dishes and cooking techniques, making Korean cuisine accessible to home cooks nationwide. Since 2008, Cathlyn has participated in over 300 culinary demonstrations at food festivals and events across Southern California, and has served as a judge at prestigious culinary competitions like the San Diego Ramen Festival and the Asian Pacific Cultural Festival. Cathlyn’s contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition from the California Legislature, an award from the former First Lady of Korea, and induction into the Asian Hall of Fame. Additionally, Cathlyn proudly represented the Asian American communities in the Let’s Move California campaign, advocating for healthier eating habits and cultural diversity in food. Through her efforts, Cathlyn continues to be a culinary arts champion through her latest health and wellness campaign, Food for Life. She currently serves as the Executive Director of a San Diego based media arts nonprofit called Asian Culture and Media Alliance.
