Andrea Provino

Andrea Provino was born in Bagheria, Sicily, Italy. His career began aboard yachts, cruise ships, and boats sailing across the Mediterranean. His journey took him around the world—from China and Dubai to the Caribbean and Norway—where he rose through the ranks to become a captain. After 2020, Andrea decided to leave the maritime industry and pursue a new path in the United States. Driven by his passion for hospitality, exceptional service, and Italian charm, he embraced his next chapter as a restaurateur in San Diego. In October 2023, he opened Osteria Cotto e Mangiato and has never looked back. His goal is to create a dining experience that makes every guest feel like family.
